It’s finally warming up in NYC and I’m all about the monochrome look this spring. Some of my favorite outfits wind up being the simplest ones. For this look, I threw on my favorite pair of ripped skinny jeans, a classic white tee, white pumps, my go-to bag and an amazing blush trench. I absolutely love mixing low and high end items to create the perfect look and this color-scheme is one you’ll see me sporting all spring long.

Check out outfit details above and be sure to follow my journey along on Instagram and Facebook.

Transitioning from Winter to Spring

The weather never seems to be consistent this time of year – warm one day, freezing cold the next, which makes it hard to know what type of coat or shoes to wear. During these transitional months, when it’s not quite boot weather, but still too cold for sandals, I usually find myself sporting heels or sneakers and a lighter coat.

This outfit is my go to “winter to spring” look – perfect for in-between weather.  I chose shoes that are partially opened in the back and a trench that is lightweight, but knee length. Besides, you can never go wrong with a mostly-black ensemble 😉

#TBT: adidas Originals

Nothing says #TBT like adidas Originals Superstar Sneakers. I’ve been a fan of the brand forever and can even remember rocking my first pair of magenta patent-leather kicks back in 1994 (my sister obviously had a matching pair, too).

Now, I style these classics with everything from high-end to sporty-chic items like black jeans, tracksuits or a leather bomber coat. I’m so obsessed that my inner 90’s kid is literally freaking out!

I recently subscribed to Rocksbox.com, which gives you unlimited access to rent from an ever-rotating closet of designer jewelry and have been obsessed ever since! After taking a brief style survey, you receive 3 pieces of hand-selected jewelry on loan and can wear each piece as much as you want!

While I love all of the pieces I received, I especially love this Kendra Scott bangle.  I don’t generally choose bedazzled pieces, but it adds the perfect amount of sparkle to my tailored black and white look.
