Sippin’ My Way Through Summer – One Dunkin’ Flavored Iced Coffee at a Time

Sippin’ My Way Through Summer – One Dunkin’ Flavored Iced Coffee at a Time

If you follow me, you know the below to be true.

  1. I’m always on the go
  2. I’m always drinking iced coffee
  3. My blogger BFF is @LaurenMazzei

So you may be wondering – how do all of these items connect? Well for starters, Lauren and I are both devoted Dunkin’ Donuts fans. So much so that during our photo shoots we often have our photographer hold our coffees (so it’s always on standby). Oh and that’s not to mention the fact that Lauren only gets an *understated* Large Iced Coffee every single time she orders. There’s also that one time after Fashion Week when we were both in dire need of a pick-me-up so we went out of our way on our route home to stop at Dunkin’ Donuts (in our heels and absurd outfits) just to get our fix.

Anyway, enough about our not-so-hidden passion for iced coffee….

I’m telling you all of this to explain why we are both super excited to be partnering with Dunkin’ Donuts this summer. From New York City to the Jersey Shore to the beaches of the Hamptons and Stamford, we’re constantly on-the-go and sippin’ our way through summer every pit stop along the way. Fun fact: we both actually drink iced coffee year-round.

While we both have our go-to iced orders, this summer we vowed to break out of our everyday routine by trying some new flavors. Check out the flavors we tried below:

  • S’mores Frozen Dunkin’ Coffee : Combination of graham cracker, toasted marshmallow and chocolate flavors
  • Coconut Crème Pie Cold Brew: Flavored iced coffee offers a creamy combo of vanilla, coconut and sweet pie crust flavors
  • Butter Pecan Iced Coffee: Flavored iced coffee features indulgent butter roasted pecan and sweet cream flavors

(*All are available in Dunkin’ Donuts’ hot and iced coffees, lattes, macchiatos and Frozen Dunkin’ Coffee through summer)

Of all of the flavors we tried, I have to say that the Coconut Crème Pie Cold Brew was my favorite. It’s a fresh flavor reminiscent of the tropics, making it the perfect beverage to sip on during the warmer weather.

So I urge you to also break out of your routine, by trying one of the new flavors this summer. All Dunkin’ Summer coffee beverages can be enjoyed in hot and iced coffees, lattes, macchiatos and Frozen Dunkin’ Coffee all summer long! Be sure to leave me a comment to let me know which your favorite is!

Ps. Thank you to Dunkin’ Donuts for sponsoring this post and providing my with delicious sips all summer long!

What’s in my Travel Tote?

What’s in my Travel Tote?

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and LIFEWTR. All opinions are mine alone. #ThirstInspiration #CollectiveBias

I don’t know about you guys, but when I travel, I always feel dehydrated and completely thrown off. With so many upcoming trips planned (London, Charleston, The Hamptons, Miami, Jamaica – to name a few), I want to make a vow to be prepared this time around. As such, I’m excited to partner with LIFEWTR, which is easily available at any 7-Eleven and has quickly become my new best friend.

I’m sure you’ve heard it before, but water intake really does work wonders (just ask my trainer, he’s been making me consume so much). It restores my body, refreshes my mind, quenches my curiosity and even enables self-expression. All of this from water? Yup! Aside from having the coolest packaging, LIFEWTR is purified, pH-balanced water, with electrolytes for taste.

Enough about my obsession with water consumption – let’s get to the fun part. So you may be wondering, what exactly goes into my travel tote bag? I’ve listed my go-to items below for your enjoyment. Hopefully, you can use this as a little “pack list” for yourself before you hit the road for your next trip or grab a cab to the airport.

    • LIFEWTR: This is my #1 must-have. When I’m traveling to the airport, I love to drink a full water bottle during my commute. This way, once I’m on the plane, I’m already feeling hydrated. If I’m just heading somewhere via train/car, I’m still sure to pack a bottle in my travel tote. Either way, I love to arrive at my destination feeling nice and hydrated.
    • Headphones: If I forgot to pack my headphones, I literally want to rip my hair out. Traveling without headphones is the worst. I listen to music and get excited for my new adventure.
    • A Sleep Mask: I’m really sensitive to light and need to sleep in the pitch black, so if I have any hope of catching some Zzz’s, I need my sleep mask.
    • Magazines: Nothing screams travel time like a trashy weekly magazine. As if I don’t follow pop culture enough, sometimes I just need a little good ol’ paper copy to hold on to vs. looking at my phone.
    • A Snack: Clearly, I like to be prepared here. This means making sure I have a stash of healthy snacks in case I go hungry (the horror). I like to keep almonds in a plastic baggy because they’re easy, nutritious and filling.

Like me, I hope you make a vow to make water consumption a priority during your travels. As always, feel free to leave me any questions in the comments! Ps. Check ThirstForInspiration.com for more information.

Move over Rosé, it’s all about Frosé this Season!

Move over Rosé, it’s all about Frosé this Season!

I don’t know when “Rosé Season” officially begins, but for me, it starts the second the temperature outside hits 80. Considering the weather’s been beautiful this week, I want to formerly say happy drinking ya’ll!

At the risk of not sounding like an alcoholic, there’s just so many reasons I love rosé. It just reminds me of summer, friends and warmer times. While it’s perfect in its natural form, there’s a new and improved version that’s straight up next level. Enter, frosé. Yes, frozen-rosé.

If you want to be fancy, by all means make it yourself. See the tutorial below:

OR, if you’re like me and just want to cut to the chase and soak in the ambiance of a beautiful restaurant, you can enjoy frosé at various locations around New York City. Below, find my list of top places around NYC to sip on some frosé.

Bar Primi
I could be wrong for saying this, but I consider Bar Primi the originator of frosé. The hot spot was the first place that I started seeing this fruity and fun beverage pop up. Now, it’s hard to miss it while scrolling your Instagram feed during the summer months.

Extra Fancy
Frosé isn’t the only frozen beverage this gem serves. In fact, you can enjoy an assortment of delicious drinks, all while grabbing some good eats. How can you go wrong?

Toro
Generally known for it’s food, Toro is a NYC fav. However, don’t look past the frosé selection. No summertime meal is complete without the perfect paired beverage.

Yes way frozé 💁#sundayspecial

Gansevoort Park
This place is conveniently around the corner from where I live, hehe. Not only is the space beautiful, but there’s a rooftop bar! Soak in the sun and sip on some deliciousness.

The Most Insta-Worthy Brunch Spots in NYC & Brooklyn

In a city full of culture and some of the world’s best cuisine, it’s easy to stumble upon a restaurant that is serving up a mean brunch. But sometimes it’s not what you’re eating; it’s how it’s presented. These days It’s all about #DoingItForTheInsta and let’s face it, a killer flat lay is almost as rewarding as a full tummy. I said, almost.

For this reason, I’m sharing some of my favorite New York City and Brooklyn cafes and breakfast spots that not only have great menus, but swoon-worthy aesthetics to match it. From hole-in-the-walls to macaroon shops, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

While We’re Young, 183 W 10th St, New York, NY 10014
This place screams décor goals. If I could live there, I would. Not only is this eatery perfectly styled with blush tufting and marble counter tops, the menu items are beautifully plated, making this spot complete Insta-bait.

RIDER, 80 N 6th Street, Brooklyn, NY 11249
If you want a spot with a great ambiance and delish breakfast, look no further. This gem is the perfect mix of both. Plus, you’ll be sure to capture a share-worthy snap.

WOOPS!, multiple locations
In the mood for a little something sweet? Grab some macaroons and coffee, all while capturing the perfect photo at one of WOOPS! many locations around the city.

La Pecora Bianca, 1133 Broadway, New York, NY 10010
This Italian Eatery serves up the fluffiest eggs I’ve ever tasted. Not only is the food amazing, the ambiance is absolutely beautiful – simple, yet classy and welcoming. Sit at one of the marble table tops if you want the perfect photo.

Union Fare, 6 E 18th St, New York, NY 10003
This place defines #BrunchGoals. Between the oozing funfetti croissants and “smashes” aka loaded toasts with various toppings – you’ll be sure to not only photograph “food porn,” but you’re stomach will be thanking you for the good eats.
The Butcher’s Daughter, 581 Hudson St, New York, NY 10014 & 19 Kenmare St, New York, NY 10012
The holy grail of brunch spots. While this favorite doesn’t take reservations, it’s worth the wait. If you’re looking for vegetarian fare and juices, this is your spot. Besides, who can pass up a photo at this scenic gem?

Maman, multiple locations (NYC & Brooklyn)
This café and bakery serves family-inspired recipes from the South of France and North America. The interior mimics that of the food – classic, inviting and delectable.

Three Seat Espresso & Barber, 137 Avenue A, New York, NY 10009
The new little spot in the East Village is the perfect place for grabbing a pastry and cappuccino. The quirky look & feel allows for a fun photo full of color and sweet treats.

Is your stomach growling yet?

Wake & Shake

Wake & Shake

I’m a huge breakfast lover. I really don’t feel like I perform my best at work if I’m not properly fueled. The last few months I’ve gotten into a slump of wasting money on buying “healthy” breakfasts like $10 juices or scrambled eggs (which I’m sure they cook in butter). Although I thought I was eating healthy, my body was telling me otherwise. Sure, I’d love to make breakfast every morning, but that isn’t always realistic when you’re running out the door.

When I decided to partner with 310 Nutrition, I wasn’t just doing it for the sake of a sponsored post – I genuinely wanted to try the product after hearing such amazing reviews. Let me tell you, it doesn’t disappoint and I’m a complete convert. The 310 Shake is a meal replacement shake that uses only top-shelf ingredients to promote a healthy body as you achieve a healthy weight. As background, a lot of the shakes on the market contain inferior soy protein, unpronounceable chemical ingredients (yuck!), as well as sugars and fillers that might taste yummy but end up hurting your results in the long run.

The reason why 310 Shake is so effective and successful is because of its nutritional profile. Unlike competitors, it is produced in a scientifically-proven way that preserves nutrients and contains ingredients that your body needs to stay healthy. The brand new Plant-Based 310 Shake contains the optimum ratio of proven Tri-Plex™ proteins, which includes Pea, Brown Rice, and Hemp (don’t worry you don’t taste these items). Check out the little chart below that I find super helpful in showcasing what you’re really getting for your money.

So now that you know what you’ll be drinking, let’s move on to the fun part – recipes! I’ve been drinking the shakes every morning for the past two weeks and I love the taste! In the morning, I take 1 scoop of protein powder (I’ve been digging the chocolate, which is ironic because I’m generally not a chocolate fan) and mix it in a blender with either berries or a banana, a flax/chia seed blend, a scoop of almond butter and some almond milk. It’s delicious and holds me over until lunch time. Plus, it’s so easy to drink on the go! Since I live in the city and often take the subway or bus, I drink the shake during my commute and am ready to get to work once I’m in my office.

As a personal next step (and since summer is around the corner), I’m going to begin replacing two meals per day with shakes. As we all know, no diet is sustainable if you are constantly hungry and battling cravings! But by simply replacing one to two meals with 310 Shake, I’ll still be able to eat my favorite foods while slashing my daily calorie consumption.

If you have any questions at all, please feel free to comment below and I’d be happy to answer or provide recipes/suggestions! For more information, check out the 310 Nutrition website and be sure to use my code ‘310quality‘ when purchasing product for 25% off (excludes bundles and sale items)!
